We are proud of -the doctors -we have appointed to provide you and your pet the highest level of care possible.About the role:Advanced Veterinary Specialists is seeking a full-time overnight Veterinary Technician to join the ER team.Duties and responsibilities you may own in this role:

• Triage and prioritize incoming patients
• Stabilize patients in critical condition
• Assist with diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications and fluids
• Provide wound care and post-surgical support
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities
• Assist during surgeries and emergency procedures
• Communicate with pet owners
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitization
• Educate pet owners on aftercare
• Collaborate with the veterinary team
• Stay updated through continuing education
• Offer compassion and emotional support to patients and owners.Compensation range $26.00 - $35.00 hourly plus differentials.$1,000 sign-on bonus for new full-time overnight ER employees !Basic Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years -of clinical experience -in the veterinary industry is required, ER experience preferred
  • Current and valid RVT license in the state of CA preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
  • Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)Full time benefits include:
