Job Title: Director of Construction and Design

Compensation: $150,000 - $220,000 Annually - Depending on Experience

Location: Hybrid - Office located in Arcadia, California

About the Role:
Din Tai Fung is seeking a Director of Construction and Design with 10+ years of relevant restaurant/retail/hospitality sector experience in the construction and design industry. This is a hybrid position based out of our headquarters in Arcadia, CA. This critical role leads the Din Tai Fung construction and design team and project teams of architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other professionals through the process of design and construction of new Din Tai Fung restaurant build-outs, remodels, and facilities assignments.

• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of project controls, project management, construction documentation and sequencing
• Possess working knowledge of alternate materials/methods, construction costs, value-engineering techniques and building/occupancy laws and lease requirements
• Demonstrate skills in managing successful projects and consistently meeting/exceeding client expectations and deadlines
  
  Job Requirements:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
  • 10+ years of directly-related development and project management experience, with an emphasis on hospitality sector experience
  • Experience working as an Owner's Representative or Project Manager representing the interests of the real estate owner or tenant
  • Experience managing project teams successfully through all phases of the development and construction process
  • Adept at working with remote teams and/or in remote locations, away from a primary office
  • Highly motivated and able to adapt to change
  • Positive and Professional Attitude
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including but not limited to SOPs
