Job Description:
A company is looking for a Freelance Court Interpreter to
support interpretation needs in immigration courts.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between target
language and English
Perform in-person, over-the-phone, and video remote interpreting
for limited English proficiency individuals
Conduct sight translation and quality control review of translated
documents as required
Required Qualifications
Legal ability to work in the U.S
Minimum one year of experience in simultaneous and consecutive
interpreting, preferably in a judicial environment
Highly proficient in both English and target language vocabularies,
including legal terminology
Familiarity with the U.S. Immigration System
Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to manage various
language registers and colloquialisms
