This role conducts outreach, provides health education, and screens patients for eligibility in programs like Medi-Cal, Covered California, FPACT, CHDP, Ryan White, and other financial assistance potions. The specialist also assists with enrollment, explains program benefits, and ensures patients receive the coverage needed for continued care. Working collaboratively with TrueCare departments and community partners, this role strengthens community connections and promotes long-term health access.

Required Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Associate degree in healthcare or related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least two (2) years' experience in health care or related field performing outreach, education, case work, and/or customer service to diverse populations.
• Knowledge of local community-based agencies.
• Availability to work regularly outside of normal shifts (i.e., 8am to 5pm).
• Public speaking, computer literacy, including internet navigation and research skills, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    If you are hired at TrueCare, your final base salary (within the pay range), will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members when determining any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
