Job Description:
A company is looking for an HCC Coding Specialist - 1099
Conversion.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze patient medical records to code based on
client-specific guidelines
Follow ICD-10-CM Coding Guidelines and Risk Adjustment Data
Abstraction Rules for accurate code assignment
Maintain a quality score of 95% or higher and meet ongoing
productivity levels based on project requirements
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Must be certified through AAPC or AHIMA (no apprenticeship
designations accepted)
Acceptable credentials include CPC, CRC, COC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or
CCS-P
At least 6 months of HCC experience and 1 year of coding experience
required
Must have working knowledge of EMRs, billing systems, and
abstraction platforms
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
