Job Description:
Job Description Job Description At Senra Systems, we believe
that the future of manufacturing lies not in automation, but in
configuration. We supercharge electrical wire harness manufacturing
through software configuration, transforming skilled assembly tasks
into high-throughput production lines. We enable customers to
design what they want, when they want it and deliver harness builds
at record-breaking speed. Role Overview: As Senior People
Operations Manager, you will play a key role in evolving the People
Operations and compliance foundation that enables Senra Systems to
scale safely, efficiently, and sustainably across multiple sites.
As a Series A company growing toward Series B, this role sits at
the center of that growth, helping ensure our People systems keep
pace as we double headcount and increase operational complexity.
You are the day-to-day execution owner for People Operations at our
Cypress facility, partnering closely with the Head of People on
strategy and employee relations while serving as the internal
expert on compliance, systems, and operational delivery. This role
requires strong judgment, discretion, and comfort with ambiguity.
You'll be someone people trust with sensitive information and turn
to for guidance, while helping build clear, reliable People systems
that support a healthy, growing company. What you'll own: People
Operations & Compliance Be the go-to People presence for our
Cypress facility, with a consistent on-site presence and strong
relationships across the floor. Partner closely with Manufacturing
leaders to balance compliance, speed, and real-world practicality.
Build trust with employees and managers through responsiveness,
follow-through, and steady, professional execution. Keep Senra
compliant with CA employment laws (wage and hour, LOA, ACA, OSHA,
EEO-1, personnel files) and maintain our compliance calendar. Run
internal audits (payroll, timekeeping, LOA, I-9s, contractor
classification) and resolve gaps with the Head of People. Turn
legal and regulatory requirements into clear, usable processes that
work in a production environment. Support additional People
Operations initiatives and projects as needed to meet the demands
of the business. HRIS, Data & Reporting Keep our HR systems clean,
accurate, and trusted through regular audits and data hygiene.
Provide clear, reliable reporting on headcount, attrition, leaves,
and compliance metrics. Spot when systems or workflows are starting
to strain under growth and implement practical improvements.
Payroll, Benefits & Leave Own payroll accuracy and controls, with
the People Operations Associate handling day-to-day processing and
inputs. Partner with Sequoia on benefits administration, renewals,
and issue resolution. Own LOA tracking and coordination across
CFRA, FMLA, PFL, SDI, and company supplemental benefits. Act as the
escalation point for complex benefits or leave scenarios. Employee
Lifecycle Deliver a compliant, well-run onboarding and offboarding
experience (I-9s, ITAR, COBRA) that sets people up for success from
day one through exit. Work closely with IT, Facilities, and
Operations to make cross-functional handoffs smooth and
predictable. Make sure every employee lifecycle change is handled
accurately, on time, and with care. Manager Enablement Create and
maintain simple, practical playbooks that help managers navigate
onboarding, time off, leaves, performance cycles, and other People
processes. Train and support managers so they know how to handle
People matters confidently and compliantly. Be the first place
managers turn when they need guidance on how to handle a People
situation before it becomes an ER issue. Ensure People processes
actually work on the factory floor, not just on paper. What you'll
bring to the team: 6–9 years of progressive People Operations or HR
experience, with deep grounding in compliance, payroll, benefits,
and HRIS (ideally Rippling) Experience supporting a predominantly
hourly, production-based workforce. Comfort operating in
high-growth, early-stage environments (Series A–B or similar) where
systems are still being built and priorities shift as the company
scales. Curiosity about People Ops best practices and market
trends, with a habit of bringing in new ideas, tools, and
approaches to improve how the function runs. A track record of
rolling out new People processes or policies and driving real
adoption across managers and teams. Strong working knowledge of CA
employment law, including leave administration and wage and hour
compliance. Proven ability to operate with high autonomy and sound
judgment in ambiguous situations. A builder's mindset, with
experience creating clear, scalable processes and documentation.
Strong attention to detail and pride in getting things right.
Comfort moving between hands-on execution and system-level thinking
as the company grows. Compensation: Compensation will be based on
experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. Salary
Range: $120,000-$160,000 This is an onsite role at our new facility
in Cypress, CA. Benefits: Unmatched opportunities to drive impact
