Reports To: Chief of Service FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Range:
$92,818.65 - $98,387.77/annual Job OverviewMental Health Program
Manager (MHPM), also known as the Program Lead, will provide
support and administrative oversight. MHPM will have the primary
function of guiding and empowering UMHPs and Senior UMHPs within
their role and will also engage communities, community, and County
partners with the goal of improving overall community
wellbeing.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Included but not
limited to): Responsible for program services, scope of work,
objectives and deliverables Forging and managing relationships and
facilitating partnerships and community resource linkages Staff
trainer in processes and efficiency Back-up to the essential
service delivery of supervisees Providing Quality Assurance Partner
with the treatment and/or program team to ensure the clients
receive services Frequently attend and/or host meetings that may
include outreach and engagement, individual and community advocacy,
facilitating groups, referral and linkage, and collaboration with
internal and external systems within LACDMH, and other County
Departments, community partners and thought leaders. Manage program
budget; forecasting and maximizing financial obligations.
Proficient in social media engagement for professional purposes
Ensure that all reports are accurate and submitted in a timely
manner, and documentation is filed as needed Attend strategic
events and participate in relevant meetings to represent the agency
and report to leadership regularly Position may require travel
within the neighborhoods and communities served. Duties may vary
based on the needs of the community being served, DMH, Service Area
and/Supervisorial District. Supervisory Responsibilities
Coordinate(s), Lead(s), and Frontline Staff Team. Conduct
interviews and assist with the selection of new employees in
coordination with Human Resources. Strive to build a strong sense
of team within the department and implement trauma-informed care
supervision practices as appropriate. Ensure frontline staff are
provided with appropriate support and hold regular one-on-ones and
team meetings. Evaluate employee performance utilizing the agency's
performance management system. Education and Experience Master’s or
Doctorate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related
field from an accredited college or university and professional
clinical license - LCSW, MFT, PH.D., Psy.D. Minimum three years’
experience providing direct services to inpatient or outpatient
mental health consumers Knowledge of current counseling practices
and treatment modalities as well as the Share Core Practice Model
Knowledge of the theory and practice of child abuse education,
prevention and treatment Knowledge of human development with an
emphasis on children, adolescents and family Ability to interact
effectively with staff and clients from diverse cultural,
socioeconomic, educational and ethnic backgrounds Ability to
effectively present information in formal and informal group
settings Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary
team Effectively provide progressive discipline as appropriate
Ability to facilitate regular staff meetings that include clinical
and nonclinical staff Intermediate level PC skills required. Work
