Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Cath Lab Job Details: • Work 12.5-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM • 2 years of experience required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and California RN license • Assess patient history, physiological, and psychosocial status • Monitor and manipulate physical environment to promote safety • Provide age-specific individualized care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients • Collect and analyze patient data to regulate fluid and electrolyte balance • Ensure airway patency and adequate gas exchange for patients • Interpret ABGs and intervene based on results and physician orders • Maintain ventilated patients during procedures and assist with intubation • Administer vasoactive drugs, antiarrhythmic, and other cardiac emergency medications • Monitor patients with thrombolytic agents and recognize possible complications • Manage patient coagulation accurately pre, intra, and post procedure • Assist with IABP insertion and monitor/maintain equipment • Set up equipment for procedures performed in Cath Lab • Troubleshoot diagnostic equipment including hemodynamic monitoring and EKG equipment • Admit patients pre-procedure and recover patients post-procedure • Remove arterial lines post-procedure per physician orders • Adhere to infection prevention guidelines and Joint Commission safety goals • Participate in professional development activities and peer review processes Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory providing advanced interventional cardiology services.
