Position Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Profession: Technician

pharmacy experience (institutional or correctional setting
preferred) License: Current pharmacy technician certification in
the respective State Certifications: None specified Must-Have:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to
work in a secure and structured environment; proficiency with
pharmacy software and inventory systems Description: The Pharmacy
Technician supports the pharmacist in preparing, dispensing, and
managing medications for incarcerated individuals. This role
ensures accurate medication handling and compliance with facility,
state, and federal regulations within a secure correctional
environment. Adherence to strict security protocols and procedures
is required. Medication Preparation & Dispensing: Assist in filling
prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and
package and label medications accurately for distribution.
Inventory Management: Maintain proper stock levels and storage
conditions for pharmaceuticals and track and document controlled
substances in compliance with guidelines. Administrative Support:
Process medication orders and maintain accurate records in the
pharmacy system and assist with audits and compliance checks.
Security & Safety: Follow strict security protocols when handling
medications and interacting with inmates and report any
discrepancies or safety concerns promptly. Collaboration: Work
closely with healthcare staff to ensure timely and accurate
medication delivery. Education: High school diploma or equivalent;
completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program preferred.
