Job Description:
Job Summary:Under the direction of the Director of Imaging and
Department Manager, coordinates theMammography services within the
Radiology Department by providing supervision andtechnical support.
Provides the appropriate and efficient day-to-day technical
operation inthe delivery of mammography procedures that meets or
exceeds the customer needs andrequirements. Meets MQSA standards.
Participates in interventional mammographyprocedures. Applies good
interpersonal and communication processes utilizing verbal
andnon-verbal skills to achieve organizational goals of customer
satisfaction and a positive workenvironment. Also works as a
Diagnostic Technologist in the Radiology Department.Essential
Competencies/Performance Expectations:Demonstrate job performance
consistent with the mission, vision and core values ofMethodist
Hospital.Ensures appropriate tracking and correlation of
pathology/radiology reports.Oversees mammography follow up,
including adequate communication, for women receivingadditional
views, biopsies and ultrasound exams.Provide support and education
to women receiving breast care services.Work with the
CancerRegistry to educate patients.Responsible for compliance with
Joint Commission, MQSA and state Mammographyregulations.Assures
compliance with safety and infection control standards.Responsible
for safe operation and maintenance of mammography equipment.Works
collaboratively with patients, physicians, technologists and
clerical staff to achieveoptimal patient care outcomes utilizing
Aidet for Patient Safety.Experience/Qualifications:Knowledge of
MQSA standards.Must possess experience and capabilities as
determined by the director to be adequate,preferably not less than
five (5) years.Education:Graduate of an approved school of
Radiologic Technology.Licensure/Certification:California Certified
Radiology Technologist (CRT); certification by American Registry
ofRadiologic Technologists (ARRT) and state in Mammography.Must
successfully complete and maintain BLS certification.At USC Arcadia

rate range for this position is $38.00 $47.00. When extending an
