CNC Programmer in Carlsbad, Ca. As a Sr. CNC Programmer you will:
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for planning complicated CNC
programming, design and engineering of workholding, work
instructions and part fabrication using Mastercam for 3, 4 & 5-axis
mills and lathes. Plan and execute complex CNC programming tasks
using Mastercam and SolidWorks. Design workholding solutions and
develop clear work instructions for part fabrication. Modify
existing programs based on feedback from quality control or
production teams. Estimate timelines and tooling requirements,
collaborating closely with internal departments. Support the
operation and maintenance of CNC machinery, including tooling
procurement. Verify part dimensions using on-machine inspection
tools and ensure part accuracy. Assist with first article
inspection validations and production set-ups. Use precision
measuring tools such as calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, and
pin gauges. Train and mentor team members in both basic and
advanced machining techniques. Transition completed programs to
machine operators for maximum productivity and efficiency. Identify
and implement process improvements to enhance workflow and
profitability. Take a hands-on, collaborative approach to
problem-solving and team support. Perform additional duties as
needed to support production and company goals. This is a full time
opportunity: The ideal candidate will have: 7 years of experience
as a machinist, with a strong foundation in machining principles
and operations 3 years of CNC programming experience; Mastercam
experience strongly preferred Proven experience programming 3-, 4-,
and 5-axis mills and lathes Experience with spindle probes and tool
life management is a plus Proficient in reading and interpreting
technical drawings, blueprints, and QC standards Strong command of
the English language, both written and verbal Advanced mechanical
measurement skills and use of precision inspection tools In-depth
knowledge of tooling capabilities and machining best practices
Ability to identify and respond quickly to non-conforming
operations Experience producing parts with tight tolerances
(±0.0002") Secret security clearance (active or former) is a plus
Available 1st shift, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Able to meet customers
hiring criteria Pay Rate: $47.00-57.00/hr *Pay range offered to a
successful candidate will be based on several factors, including
the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific
