service. What is my role? As a Senior Accountant, you will be
responsible for applying principles of accounting to support daily
Accounts Receivable processes and preparation of monthly accounting
statements and reconciliation. The Sr. Accountant will be a crucial
team member, ensuring an effective and efficient operation of the
accounts receivable process. This requires a good understanding of
all accounts receivable functions, including collections,
chargeback resolution, cash application and data analysis. This
individual will be working closely with the Sr. Manager-Operations
Accounting and Controller to enhance month-end close procedures and
improve policies/process controls. What You’ll Do Accounts
Receivable Accounting Own and maintain the accuracy of the A/R
subledger, including cash application, credits,
chargebacks/deductions, returns-related credits, and customer
account adjustments. Monitor and analyze A/R aging, unapplied cash,
and open items; drive timely resolution of discrepancies to support
accurate reporting and healthy cash flow. Research and resolve
customer account issues including: Deductions/chargebacks (short
payments, compliance violations, pricing discrepancies,
returns/allowances Credit memos and disputes Offsets and customer
account reconciliations Prepare and post A/R-related journal
entries and complete monthly reconciliations, including: A/R
subledger to general ledger tie-outs Unapplied cash and customer
credits Reserves/allowances as applicable (e.g., bad debt or
returns-related reserves, if used) Partner cross-functionally with
Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Shipping/Warehouse teams
to resolve deductions/disputes and improve root-cause processes
(e.g., pricing, packing compliance, ASN/PO issues). Organize and
maintain AR files and documentation, ensuring thorough and accurate
record-keeping Reconcile customer accounts regularly to maintain
up-to-date and accurate ledgers Document and improve policies,
SOPs, and internal controls related to A/R, cash application, and
factoring workflows. Monitor and answer the Accounts Receivable
phone Receivables Factoring Support day-to-day accounting and
coordination related to receivables factoring, including: Review
and assess new customer applications and coordinate with the
factoring team Funding activity and transaction tracking
Reconciliations between A/R, factoring schedules/portals, and bank
activity Review and accounting for factoring fees/discounts,
chargebacks, and reserves held by the factor (as applicable) Assist
in maintaining accurate documentation and support for audits and
internal controls related to factored receivables. Serve as a key
point of contact for internal coordination on factoring-related
questions and reporting. Month Close, Reporting, and Controls Lead
A/R-related month-end close tasks, including reconciliations,
roll-forwards, and variance/flux analysis. Prepare and maintain
recurring reporting such as A/R aging, deductions/chargeback
summaries, credits analysis, unapplied cash reporting, and
factoring activity reporting. Support internal and external audit
requests by preparing schedules and documentation supporting
receivable balances, deductions, and factoring transactions. Assist
with financial and bank external audits. Operations Accounting
Generate and maintain analytical reports to measure Company
performance and identify bottlenecks in Operations to improve KPIs
and process flows Analyze data related to accounts receivable,
production/labor costs, expenses, overhead cost evaluation and
reconciling inventory. Document and improve policies, SOPs, and
internal controls related to Operations Accounting. Systems &
Process Improvement Help streamline A/R processes through improved
workflows, reporting, AI tools, and controls—especially around
deductions management and reconciliation cadence. Use ERP and
reporting tools to identify issues quickly and improve data quality
and visibility. Participate in ERP enhancements and support
cross-functional initiatives impacting receivables. Other duties
may be assigned in accordance with company needs. What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in accounting. A minimum of 4 years of work
experience in accounting, with substantial hands-on responsibility
in Accounts Receivable and account reconciliations. Strong Excel
skills - Intermediate level of Excel knowledge is required.
Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset. Detail-oriented
with strong ownership, follow-through, and ability to manage
competing priorities. Strong communication skills and confidence
partnering across teams to resolve discrepancies. Consistently have
demonstrated strong critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and
ownership. Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal) with
all staff levels both internal and external with a perpetual
professional level of self-awareness. Ability to work
independently, be a self-starter, and to ask for help when needed.
Flexibility to pivot in an ever-changing work environment. Ability
to anticipate work needs and follow through effectively. Preferred
Qualifications: Experience in the apparel industry and/or
manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. Receivables
factoring experience (working with factoring partners,
portals/schedules, funding reconciliations, fees/discounts).
Experience with AS/400 (nice to have, not required). Experience
with high-volume transactions and complex customer account
activity. CPA or CPA-eligible (or relevant advanced certification).
Experience improving A/R processes (automation, controls, reporting
