Job Purpose:We are looking for a hands-on and quick-learning Controller who is Mandarin Speaking to be responsible for all aspects of the accounting functions of a start-up organization. This individual must be comfortable working in a new growing industry environment and be the head of Finance & Controlling the management of internal and external audits.Duties and Responsibilities:Directing all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring a timely financial close each month.Maintains and provides timely and accurate reconciliations of various general ledger accounts, such as reconciling month-end account balances including cash, accounts receivable, inventory, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, accrued expenses, accrued liabilities, Research & Development Expenses, and other balance sheet accounts as needed.Lead the Company's first financial audit with an external audit firm and maintain the internal audit guidance.Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings in multi-states.Ensures the proper, timely payment of fees for licenses, permits, regulatory contracts, and insurance, all taxes.Collaborate across departments to improve controls that impact financial reporting including refining processes, policies, procedures, documentation, and information systems.Manage and mentor the corporate accounting team to ensure high performance and professional growth.Lead continues process improvement to enable more efficient day-to-day accounting operations.Qualifications:7-10 plus years of managerial accounting management experience.Mandarin speaking is preferred; must be fluent in English both in written and verbal skills.Prior experience at top accounting firms is preferred.Experience working in a distribution and import environment is strongly preferred.Bachelor's degree in accounting & Finance. CPA and/or CMA preferred.Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or NetSuite required.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing accounting team.Working Conditions:The position works in an office environment.Physical Requirements:Sitting, standing, and repetitive use of hands or arms.Direct Reports:The position has supervisory responsibility related to policies and procedures and job performance for 3-5 direct reports in the Accounting Department.Benefits:Eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits on the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment.Eligible for the company's 401k plan after 90 days of employment.Sick hours are earned from the date of hire and are eligible to use after 90 days of employment.7 paid holidays per year.Eligible to earn vacation time after 6 months of employment.Position: Full-TimeiKrusher is an equal-opportunity employer.
